Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market Partners with El Grupo Youth Cycling Club for Bike-to-the-Market Event

What:  Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market “Bike-to-the-Market” Event.

When:  Thursday, March 12, 2009,
Market Hours:  3:00 to 6:00 PM
Free Bike Maintenance at Market: 4:00 to 6:00 PM

Where:  NE corner of Speedway and Riverview, between Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind and El Rio Neighborhood Center

Admission:  Free and open to the public

The Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market “Bike-to-the-Market” event will include free bike tune-ups, tire changing demos, bike maintenance tips, and bike maps to all customers who bike to the market.  All free bike services provided by members of El Grupo Youth Cycling Club from 4-6 PM.

Local produce selections at the Farmers’ Market will include salad and cooking greens, carrots, beets, radishes, cabbage, fennel, apples, citrus, pecans and much more.  Shoppers can also find honey, dried beans and grains, free-range beef, herbal remedies, locally roasted coffee, garden plants and cacti.

The Farmers’ Market accepts credit and debit cards, food stamps, and cash for purchases.
