Community Food Bank to Receive Donation of 5,850 Dozen Eggs from Hickman Farms for Southern Arizona
Hickman Family Farms from Buckeye, Arizona will deliver 5,850 dozen eggs to the Community Food Bank on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:30 AM for distribution in Southern Arizona. The delivery will be made to the Food Bank at 3003 S. Country Club Road in Tucson. Bill Carnegie, Community Food Bank President/CEO will be on hand to accept the delivery from Mrs. Gertrude Hickman and the Hickman mascot, “Funky Chicken.”
The Hickman egg donation will be distributed to the Agency Market clients in Pima County and our entire Southeastern Arizona service area including branch banks in Ajo, Amado, Green Valley, Marana and Nogales. Eggs will also be distributed in the emergency food box program, while they last, in Graham, Greenlee, Cochise and Santa Cruz Counties.

A photo opportunity with Mr. Carnegie accepting the 5,850 dozen eggs from Mrs. Hickman and the “Funky Chicken” mascot will be available at 10:30 AM. Interviews will also be available.
The Hickman Farms egg donations are being coordinated statewide by the Association of Arizona Food Banks in Phoenix.
