Speedway, West of I-10 between AZ School for the Deaf and Blind and El Rio Neighborhood Center
Admission: Free and open to the public
The Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market’s “Spring Cuisine with Chef Ralph” will encourage community members to cook and eat local seasonal produce, such as spinach, beets and citrus. The event will feature a cooking demonstration by Chef Ralph Chavez, Executive Sous Chef of La Posada retirement resort in Green Valley. Menu items may include Citrus and Beet Salad with Balsamic Honey Vinaigrette, Shaved Fennel and Apple Salad, and Spinach Salad with Free-Range Eggs and Honey Chive Vinaigrette.
Local produce selections at the Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market include citrus, salad and cooking greens, beets, turnips, carrots, radishes, cabbage, potatoes, green onions, fresh eggs, local honey, free-range beef and much more.
The Farm Stand accepts credit and debit cards, SNAP (food stamps), cash, and Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Cash Value Vouchers for fruits and vegetables.
