Marana Heritage Farm and Gease-Marana Library to Host Showing of “Dirt! The Movie”

The Marana Heritage Farm and the Geasa-Marana Library will host a showing of “Dirt! The Movie” on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The Geasa-Marana Library is located at 13370 N. Lon Adams Road, Marana, Arizona 85653.

“Dirt! The Movie” takes the viewer inside the wonders of soil.  It tells the story of Earth’s most valuable and underappreciated source of fertility from its miraculous beginning to its crippling degradations.  The Movie, narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis, brings to life the environmental, economic, social and political impact that soil has.  It shares stories of experts from all over the world who study and are able to harness the beauty and power of a respectful and mutually beneficial relationship with soil.

Admission to “Dirt! The Movie” is free and everyone is welcome.  This showing is part of “Now Showing at Your Library” a programming collaboration between Pima County Public Library and Arizona Public Media
