The Cheesecake Factory to Sponsor Employee Peanut Butter Drive During Hunger Action Month
The Cheesecake Factory in Tucson at 60 W. Wetmore Road will join other The Cheesecake Factory restaurants across America to sponsor its 2011 employee peanut butter drive to benefit local food banks. This is an annual event during Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month in September.
Last year the local The Cheesecake Factory collected 2,267 pounds of peanut butter for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. This year The Cheesecake Factory in Tucson will also collect peanut butter donations at several local school sites during the month of September.
Additionally, for every slice of its new Hershey®’s Chocolate Bar Cheesecake sold from September1, 2011 through the end of August 2012, The Cheesecake Factory will donate 25 cents to Feeding American and local food banks.
“We appreciate The Cheesecake Factory’s continued support,” said Bill Carnegie, President/CEO of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. “Their partnership is especially valuable during these difficult economic times.”
