2012 Canstruction® Event to Benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
Saturday, September 29th through Sunday, October 7th at the Park Place
For the third consecutive year, the American Institute of Architects, Southern Arizona Chapter will sponsor the 2012 Canstruction® event to benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Tucson area architecture and engineering offices will design and build sculpture installations using only canned food at Park Place, 5870 East Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85711.
The construction of the sculptures will take place on Saturday, September 29th and will be on display at Park Place through Sunday, October 7th. Honors will be awarded to the most creative Canstruction® on Friday October 5th at 6:00 PM. The creations will be dismantled after October 7th and all of the canned foods will be donated to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
