The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona has issued a call for local artists to create masks for Mardi Gras 2014.
Entrants are asked to create a unique art mask that will be auctioned at Mardi Gras 2014 with proceeds benefiting the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona’s hunger relief programs. Artists must create their own original mask based on the theme of Carnivale, Mardi Gras or New Orleans. The mask can be from the medium of the artists’ choice.
Completed masks will be displayed in local restaurants from January 1 through January 31, 2014 for the purpose of marketing Mardi Gras 2014.
Local artists are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity to get their work noticed by key people in the community. Selected artists will receive one free ticket to Mardi Gras 2014 to be held on Saturday, February 8th.
The deadline for submitting signed application forms is November 29, 2013. Completed masks are due at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona’s main office at 3003 S. Country Club Road, Tucson, AZ 85713 by December 30, 2013.
