Shop Local for the Holidays & Support your Local Non-profit
The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona’s Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market will host “Shop Local for the Holidays and support your local non-profit” on Thursday December 19, 2013 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. The Market is located in the Mercado San Agustin at 100 S. Avenida del Convento (near the corner of Congress and Grande).
The “Shop Local” event will feature handmade crafts and food samples from Iskashitaa Refugee Network and Ben’s Bells. Iskashitaa Refugee Network is a grass roots organization that helps rebuild refugee lives through partnerships with volunteers and local organizations. Ben’s Bell’s mission is to inspire, educate and motivate each other to realize the impact of intentional kindness and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness.
Also available for sale will be locally made tortillas, jams & jellies, mesquite flour, homemade pies, salsas and a large selection of fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies.
The Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market is a program of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and accepts SNAP (food stamps), WIC vouchers, Arizona Farmers Market Nutrition vouchers, cash, as well as credit and debit cards.
