Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Green Valley Food Bank services the Green Valley and Sahuarita areas. They offer the following services to those in their community who are hungry:

  • Food Boxes
  • Infant Food Boxes
  • Gleaning
  • Tucson’s Table (only for non-profit agencies)
  • Food Plus
  • Value Foods Store

What’s New:
The 2007 NALC Food Drive was one of the best ones on record for Green Valley. This year we had a great drive, a great system in place to handle the large quantities of food and wonderful volunteers that helped sort afterwards. Special thanks to Mike Averre and Cindy Ramos for their hard work along with each volunteer that stapled, sorted, collected, weighed, recorded and kept everyone fed and happy.

A special thanks to each of you that donated your money and food to the drive!! Thank you. We could not do what we do without each of you.

This year’s process allowed the food bank to cut back on waste by short dated items used first and not wasted. We had many many volunteers working long hours to insure the clients of the food bank received the most benefit from the food donated. Which is a good thing since our client load over the summer is growing - in May alone it grew by 18% over last years numbers and this month we are on track for a 20 something percent increase.

The final numbers came in at $20,225 raised and 25,747 pounds which was more than last year. Thank you all for the amazing job you did in giving of your time and resources.
