Southern Arizona Legal Aid’s Public Benefits Legal Clinic At the Community Food Bank
Southern Arizona Legal Aid’s Public Benefits Legal Clinic provides free legal services to qualified, low-income individuals and families who have problems with Food Stamps, TANF Cash Assistance, AHCCCS Medical Assistance, Medicare and Social Security disability programs. Under the supervision of an attorney from Southern Arizona Legal Aid, law students from the University of Arizona College of Law provide legal advice, brief services, referrals and representation in public benefit cases.
The clinic is located on the second floor of the Punch Wood Multi-Services Center at 3003 S. Country Club in Tucson. It is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Individuals can call or walk-into the office to request services. The phone number is (520) 207-0863.
Southern Arizona Legal Aid also provides legal services in priority cases involving housing, family law, consumer, education, public benefits and immigration issues at the downtown office. Applicants can request legal services at the downtown office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. by walking in or calling the intake department at (520) 623-9461 or 1-800-248-6789.
