2009 Charitable Tax Credit

Reducing Your Tax Liability

You can reduce your tax liability this year and help a cause you care about!

Arizona’s charitable tax credit law allows you to earn a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on qualifying contributions to specific organizations.

The state of Arizona recognizes the Community Food Bank and its branches as Qualified Charitable Organizations.

How it Works

You can take a tax credit of up to $200 in new charitable contributions if you file as a single person, or up to $400, if you file jointly.

The tax credit is available only to individuals.  To be eligible for this credit, you must claim itemized deductions on your Arizona return for the same year the credit is claimed.

Additional Information

For details or a list of qualified charitable organizations contact the Arizona Department of Revenue at www.azdor.gov or contact your tax advisor.

This information is provided by the Community Food Bank as a service to our friends. It is not meant to be used as a formal tax guide. Please discuss any and all charitable intentions with your tax advisor.
