Commodity Supplemental Food Program (Food Plus)

This USDA food program provides low income elderly (over the age of 60) with a monthly package of USDA commodities.  Potentially eligible seniors must determine eligibility through a local County Health Department.

In Tucson, recipients of CSFP-Food Plus receive a one year refillable prescription for USDA commodities.  In Tucson the prescription is brought to the Pantry at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, located at 3003 S Country Club Rd (520-622-0525), where recipients receive their monthly package of USDA commodities.

CSFP-Food Plus is also available for income eligible seniors in Marana, Green Valley, Sahuarita and Amado; eligibility is determined by Pima County Health Department at (520)-243-7777.  Residents of Nogales, Arizona may apply for CSFP-Food Plus at Mariposa Community Health Center at (520)-287-4994.

This CSFP-Food Plus program is a joint venture between Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, USDA, Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and your local health department.
