About Tucson’s Table

Tucson’s Table is one of only a few of its kind in the nationwide food bank network. Our agencies have free access to shop for a variety of products. The shopping area includes a walk-in cooler and freezer.

Factoring in produce, assorted food and non-food products from local and corporate donors through America’s Second Harvest, Tucson’s Table distributes 5,938,103 pounds of donated items each year.

Population Served

Tucson’s Table provides dry and perishable food and non-food products packed in retail and institutional size packaging for the use of non-profit 501(c)(3) agencies with on-site feeding programs.

By having access to a diverse range of product, such as cereal, assorted dairy products, fruit juices, fresh produce, pasta, beans and rice, sauces and condiments, assorted entrees and snacks, many of our agencies report back to us drastic budget savings.

Tucson’s Table is currently serving over 400 agency feeding sites.

How we get our product

A high percentage of donated products are acquired through America’s Second harvest, a nationwide network of food banks. Other sources include collections from grocers, distributors, brokers, shippers, mass merchandisers and manufactures. Agencies also have access to prepared perishable food collected from restaurants and companies that manage dining services.

Donations may be close-to-date, mislabeled, product overruns, reformulations, discontinued or no longer marketable but still salvageable.

Funding Sources

Any differences between revenues and operating expenses are funded through contributions from Community Food bank donors.
