WHAT IS THE VALUE MARKET?
The Value Market is a low cost grocery store located in the Food Plus area of the Community Food Bank. You need not qualify or fill out any paperwork to shop here. We are open to the public and it is a place “where everyone is welcome”.
We are self-supporting and do not sell any donated food items. The food we sell is not dented, dinged, or salvaged product. We often are pleased to offer name brand products such as; Hunt’s, Jennie-O products, Green Giant, Del Monte and others. Many of our canned and dry boxed items are made to order for us under private labels. These are first run products at greatly reduced costs. Depending on what items you select you can usually save between 30%-70% compared to a regular grocery store on your overall purchase.
The Value Market sells a wide variety of meats, canned goods, fresh produce and fruit, dry packaged goods, dairy products, frozen entrée items and much more. We are now carrying paper goods such as, paper towels, tissue paper, toilet tissue, facial tissue, feminine hygiene products and baby diapers. We also have personal care items, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner. We carry laundry soap, bleach, dryer sheets and fabric softener as well.
We do accept Food Stamps, the cash benefits from the AZ Quest card, credit & debit cards and cash on all purchases (No checks). Since we are a non profit agency we do not charge sales tax on all items, so you will save even more! Also, when you make a purchase of at least $1.00 you are able to take bread and produce that has been donated to the Food Bank when available. This is free to every customer!
We also work with agencies and churches who would like to help feed people. If interested, you can apply through Finance to be considered for check cashing or start an account with us. If you currently have an account with the Agency Market (Formerly Tucson’s Table) you automatically qualify to have an account with Value Market.
The Value Market is open Tuesday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m. We are closed Sundays and Mondays as well as the first 2 business day every July for inventory.
